Spindle is actively seeking compassionate paraprofessionals to provide vital 1:1 support for students in school settings. These per diem roles offer flexible, as-needed shifts that allow professionals to make a meaningful impact while adapting to their availability. Key Responsibilities:
Assist students individually or in small groups under the direction of teachers and school staff
Support academic, behavioral, and social development within the classroom
Help students with daily routines, transitions, and participation in activities
Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care when necessary
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum age 18 years
Ability to complete school-required TB testing
Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
Must have current background clearances or be willing to obtain them before starting
Preferred Experience:
Background in special education, behavioral health, child care, or school settings
Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
Certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not required
Reliable, patient, and teamwork-focused approach
