LPN Licensed Practical Nurse Full-Time Night Shift -Talladega County

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment.

The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.

Pay Rate: $28/hr Shift differential $4.00/hr * Respond and intervene in all emergency situations * Conduct Patient Intake paperwork * Verify and obtain orders for patient medication * Conduct Sick Call clinic * Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy * Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations * Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs * Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit * Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition * Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions * Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.

* Maintain patient confidentiality * Assist with training and orientation of new personnel * Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines * Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

* One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.
