This position is housed within the University of Pittsburgh, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS), Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health. Pitt SHRS faculty, students, and alumni are leaders in transforming the education and delivery of health care.
The position is embedded full-time at the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center (CTI at HGAC) in Johnstown, PA. CTI at HGAC provides vocational training and comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals across the state of PA. Through an intergovernmental agency agreement, the University of Pittsburgh develops, implements, and operates clinical programs at HGAC, including the Center for Assistive and Rehabilitative Technology (CART). The mission of CART is to enhance the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities through assistive technology services.
The Program Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for therapy providers delivering assistive technology and rehabilitation services within the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center (CTI at HGAC) in Johnstown, PA. This position supervises staff and manages the day-to-day operation of CART's service delivery model while also providing direct clinical services as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
The role involves conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized assistive technology and therapy programs, coordinating services across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and documentation standards. The Program Manager also serves as a key liaison with external partners including the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), insurance providers, and other service organizations.
