Physician - General Plastic Surgeon, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery - Nerve (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Plastic Surgeon to join the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Position Overview

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery seeks to hire a board certified/eligible plastic surgeon to expand an already robust Nerve Reconstruction Program with a focus on Upper Extremity. Qualified candidates should possess a strong desire for nerve surgery, have experience and/or fellowship training in hand/microsurgery and a sincere commitment to growing a successful program in an academic environment.

Ohio State's Nerve Reconstruction Program is comprehensive in Upper/Lower Extremity, Trauma and Oncology collaborations. A practice focused on Upper Extremity is needed, but with plenty of opportunity in other aspects of Nerve Surgery because of the collaborations with other departments. Department/Division Overview

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has 20 full time faculty, 5 faculty at Nationwide Children's Hospital and 10 community faculty. The residency program includes integrated and independent pathways with 26 residents and 4 fellows (microsurgery, nerve, and pediatric fellowships). The department serves as a referral center for central Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Duties and Responsibilities

Provide safe, high quality patient care.

Provide clinical and didactic education to learners of all levels.

Adhere to all other duties and guidelines of the Department and the Chair as assigned. Requirements

M.D. or D.O.

Completion of an accredited Plastic Surgery Residency Program.

Board certification or Board eligibility in Plastic Surgery.

Eligibility for an Ohio Medical License.

Board certification or eligibility in a related specialization (e.g., hand or microsurgery) preferred.
