Job Description
About the job: As a Direct Support Provider, you will provide training and assistance to people that includes, but not limited to, daily personal cares, medication administration, community activities, money management, meal preparation, laundry assistance, and leisure activities. Starting wage $16.00-$17.00 per hour.
Essential job responsibilities include:
Monitor and assist people with personal cares.
Instruct and assist people in food preparation, clean-up, and sanitary practices.
Encourage grooming and dress according to the person’s preferences, cultural considerations and social norms.
Administer medications and treatments once trained.
Communicate concerns, suggestions, potential problems to supervisors in an accurate, prompt, and respectful manner.
Chart daily program information.
Complete cleaning and assist persons served in cleaning tasks.
Required Qualifications:
Must be 17 years of age or as dictated by licensure.
Must pass DHS background clearance.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand the English language while conducting company business.
