Mechanical Drafter – Long Term Contract

Location: Carrollton, TX (onsite)

A growing, innovative company in the cash management technology space is seeking a Mechanical Drafter with sheet metal experience to support ongoing product development efforts. This is a hands-on, long term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Create detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks

Develop and modify sheet metal designs, including flat patterns and assemblies

Support engineering teams with design updates, revisions, and documentation

Ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and precision in all drafting work

Assist with hands-on assembly and prototyping of designed components

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development

Qualifications:

Experience with mechanical drafting, specifically sheet metal design

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (including sheet metal tools)

Understanding of fabrication processes (bending, cutting, forming)

Hands-on experience with assembly or prototyping preferred

Experience with plastics or 3D printing is a plus

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
