Responsibilities:

Excellent employment opportunity for a BACKEND DEVELOPER in the Ridgefield, CT area.

As part of (Nonclinical Drug Safety) NDS product team a Backend Engineer is needed to build a product to search and display data from multiple data sources and with multiple displays.

Development is needed through MVP and first next steps of the digital product.

Responsible for defining and implementing the technical requirements of web application based on user stories.

Developing and maintaining APIs and frameworks and using testing automation where possible.

Responsible for ensuring development and coding standards and practices are implemented, as defined by the team

Will work with frontend developers, UX designer, Data Engineer and Data Scientists in the development

Work on various platform with different programming languages and supported the production cluster management system

The routine application maintenance tasks executed as expected via strategy-building techniques

Will work within a Scrum team to deliver product releases in an agile manner. Experience:

At least 3 years in a similar position building backend Technologies

Bachelor's Degree in IT related field preferred

Java experience required

Springboot experience required

SQL knowledge required

Git experience required

Experience developing REST APIs required

Experience working with databases (i.e., Oracle, Postgres, MSSql) required.

Experience with Postgres database preferred

Python/Flask experience preferred

Jenkins and Docker experience preferred

Jira experience preferred

Experience with databases and putting and retrieving information (SQL, graph databases) preferred

Experience with big data technologies preferred (Hadoop/HDFS, Spark and Hive)

Experience working on agile (scrum) teams
