As a Construction Commercial Manager, you will support the commercial oversight of major capital projects, helping ensure that construction investments are handled responsibly and strategically. The role combines cost management and commercial insight, enabling project teams to make informed decisions and deliver facilities that support global ambitions of the LEGO Group.

Core Responsibilities:

Supervise and control construction project budgets and costs for major capital projects at our factory in Monterrey, ensuring financial transparency and adherence to approved budgets by validating payments and terms.

Manage cost planning and forecasting activities, including maintaining change logs, updating estimates, aligning and challenging contractor quantities and rates, and overseeing cashflow forecasting and contingency management.

Drive cost optimization and value creation, conducting benchmarking and identifying cost drivers to support value engineering and ensure value for money across projects by participating and inputting to tenders, contract development and change negotiations.

Use commercial dashboards and reporting, providing clear insights into cost, risk exposure, and overall project health to senior leadership and project stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal and external partners, including procurement, finance, engineering, operations, and external commercial management partners to ensure consistent commercial governance.

Contribute to strengthening commercial capability within the GWP organization, sharing best practices and supporting the development of commercial knowledge related to balanced construction, including embedded carbon considerations.

Do

you

have

what

it

takes?

Proven experience in construction cost management, commercial management, or quantity surveying within large-scale capital or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of cost control, cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting within complex construction environments

Experience identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities across project lifecycles.

Ability to facilitate workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks and drive solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex cost and risk information into actionable insights.

Experience working with international or multi-stakeholder construction projects, including engagement with contractors and external partners.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence project decisions through commercial insight.

Willingness to travel internationally as required to support global project teams

Previous experience working within large global manufacturing or industrial project environments.

English Fluent level.
