SEC Reporting Manager

Description Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to support a short term contract role with a client in New Albany, OH.

Role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will primarily be responsible for working with junior staff to complete the quarterly financial reporting requirements.

Majority of the role will be providing detailed reviews of the financial package and working with junior staff on updates.

Potential for extension to other accounting project work following the financial reporting deadlines.

Role works a 3 days onsite, 2 days remote schedule.

Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough reviews of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with SEC requirements.

- Prepare and manage journal entries to maintain precise financial records.

- Perform reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.

- Oversee the preparation of financial statements to meet regulatory standards.

- Manage SEC financial reporting and filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

- Utilize tools such as Workiva to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency.

- Collaborate with the internal team to address reporting needs and provide mentorship where required.

- Ensure all audit-related items are completed promptly to meet audit committee deadlines.

- Identify areas for improvement within reporting workflows and implement effective solutions.

Requirements - Proven experience in SEC financial reporting and filings.

- Strong ability to review and prepare journal entries with a high degree of accuracy.

- Proficiency in performing reconciliations and ensuring data integrity.

- Expertise in financial statement preparation and regulatory compliance.

- Familiarity with Workiva or similar reporting tools.

- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams.
