Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Coordinator to support endocrinology clinical research trials and observational studies. The ideal candidate will bring field-specific experience in endocrinology or diabetes research and/or a nursing background with strong research training. This role partners with principal investigators, clinical staff, and study participants to ensure protocol compliance, data integrity, and participant safety throughout the study lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate all aspects of endocrinology research studies (regulatory submissions, participant recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up).

Screen, assess, and enroll study participants per protocol; obtain informed consent and ensure ongoing participant safety.

Collect, manage, and maintain high-quality study data (case report forms, electronic data capture, CRFs) and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely query resolution.

Schedule participant visits, coordinate imaging and lab testing, and track study milestones, timelines anmd payments.

Monitor adverse events and report to the Principal Investigator and regulatory bodies per protocol and sponsor requirements.

Prepare and maintain regulatory documents, IRB submissions, amendments, and reporting in accordance with GCP, ICH guidelines, and organizational policies.

Liaise with sponsors, contract research organizations (CROs), vendors, and partner clinical sites as applicable.

Perform routine quality checks, monitor protocol adherence, and lead site initiation visits and closeouts.

Assist with budgeting, billing compliance, and study supply management.

Provide participant education, consent counseling, and ensure a patient-centered approach.

Contribute to manuscript preparation, study presentations, and regulatory audits as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all relevant privacy and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Nursing (RN/BSN) or a related health sciences degree. Advanced degrees (MBA, MSN, MPH, or equivalent) are a plus.

Proven experience in clinical research coordination, preferably in endocrinology, diabetes, thyroid, metabolic disorders, or related areas.

Knowledge of endocrine study protocols, regulatory requirements (GCP/ICH, IRB), and good clinical practice.

Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., REDCap, Medidata, Oracle Clinical) and data management processes.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and competing priorities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with office staff, participants, investigators, and sponsors.

Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic statistical literacy.
