Job Description

RN needed with 2 years of prior Intermediate/Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit experience. The unit is a 64 bed unit with 15 Neuro beds. Typical patients have Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, and or Respiratory COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV Stepdown, Post Op .

Must have current NY State RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and have taken Critical Care Course/ECCO (AACN).

Neuro focused RNs SCRN is preferred, PCCN is preferred.

EPIC knowledge required.

Common Diagnosis - Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Resp: COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post op.

Specialty Equipment-Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, Neptune Vapo

Required drips & Medications -Insulin, Cardizem, and Heparin, Nitro, Cleviprex, Precedex, Dopamine, Amiodarone, Cardene, Dobutrex, Neo all required - exception for 1-2 if all others present/competent, just note in your notes so manager can make decision based on what skills are needed most at that time.

Vents: Yes-chronic vents -unable to wean- RT to assist
