Gate Automation Technician

Description The Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician plays a key role in both installation and service of gate systems and commercial security technologies.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, low-voltage systems, and customer interaction, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term career.

What You'll Do * Install, service, and troubleshoot: * Gate systems (slide, swing, lift, crash gates) * Parking revenue control systems * Bollards and barrier systems * Support installation and service of low-voltage and security systems, including: * Access control systems * CCTV/video surveillance * Security/intrusion systems * Fire alarm systems * Voice/data cabling and structured wiring * Wired and wireless networks * Paging and telephone entry systems * Program, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access systems * Provide on-site customer service, including system training and support * Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians * Travel to job sites throughout Ohio as needed Requirements What We're Looking For * Experience with low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, intrusion, or cabling) * Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot commercial security systems * Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking * Excellent customer service and communication skills * Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the field * Proficiency with hand and power tools * Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical field Nice to Have * Experience with gate automation systems * HVAC, electrical, or construction background
