Primary Function

Under general supervision, inspects, adjusts and repairs electrically and pneumatically operated instruments used to indicate and control operating conditions of turbines, furnaces, boilers and auxiliaries in power generating plants. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school equivalency and successful completion of a four-year state certified Instrument/Electrician Technician apprenticeship program;

OR

Instrument/Electrician Technician journeyman certificate from an accredited vocational/ trade school, 48 months of validated Instrument/Electrician Technician work experience and a minimum score of 80% on the district Instrument/Electrician Technician, journeyman written and practical examination.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.

Other Requirements/Testing

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
