Your role as a Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional at Mission Vista, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist one or several individuals in meeting their basic needs, including personal care, daily living skills, and social integration. This position requires compassion, patience, and the ability to foster a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.

Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills are vital, as you will be building trusting relationships with clients and ensuring they feel secure and respected. A background in caregiving, with 1 to 2 years of experience in a registered or medical facility, is preferred, and possessing a CNA certification will enhance your candidacy. Effective communication in English is required, along with the ability to perform basic data entry and familiarity with Microsoft software. Additionally, a valid driver's license is a must, as is the physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
