Forklift Operator

Job Description

Minutemen Staffing is looking for Forklift Operators for 1st shift and mid-shift for the Grove Port area. $18

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, locate, stack, and track materials within a warehouse or distribution facility. This role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a sit-down (counterbalance) forklift to transport materials and products

Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers

Move pallets to and from storage areas, racks, and staging zones

Stack and organize inventory accurately and efficiently

Perform routine equipment inspections (battery, fuel, tires, safety checks)

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts

Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines

Keep work areas clean and free of hazards

Assist with general warehouse duties as neededQualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Valid forklift certification (OSHA-compliant) or willingness to obtain one

Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred

Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly

Basic math and reading skills

Strong attention to detail and safety awarenessWork Environment:

Warehouse or distribution center setting

May involve exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold environments)

Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shiftPhysical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment

Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting

Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
