Position Overview

The Technology Manager oversees and leads in providing solutions to helpdesk-related and web-related issues and concerns of the different facets of the Support Departments in the company. The Technology Manager works and collaborates closely with the other leads, managers, and/or leaders across the various facets of the Technology Department in IT helpdesk and support, IT infrastructure, web designing, web development, web update and maintenance and reports generation, and other technical and data analytics related work.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? IT Helpdesk and Support

Leads in providing help desk support and resolving problems to the end user’s satisfaction.

Leads in monitoring and responding quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.

Leads in monitoring requests from end-users and processes first-in first-out based on priority.

Modifies configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation.

Utilizes and maintains the help desk tracking software.

Leads in documenting internal procedures.

Leads in assisting IT-related matters in the onboarding of new users.

Leads in ensuring each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment.

Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.

Leads in maintaining inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.

Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.

Monitors assigning users and computers to proper groups and implementing security and restrictions.

Leads in performing timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.

Leads in ensuring that the company maintains strict compliance with PCI DSS.

Annual PCI Audit

Facilitates structured collaboration with PCI auditors to attain the goal of PCI certification at the end of January of the following year

Manages the PCI certification project for all tasks and ensures that the certification process successfully ends on the planned date mutually by all internal and external parties involved

Ensures the delivery of all related documents with the help of assigned staff

Information Security

Monitors the information security operations in the Company

Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Company’s IT security programs and projects

Manages the creation and updating of information security policies

Supervises the enforcement of the Company’s security policies

Monitors various security events and threats, and responds to such with the appropriate technical control measures

Leads IT security audits, conducted on a periodic and ad hoc basis

IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Management

Leads the development of disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets

Leads the development of contingency plans to deal with organizational emergencies

Analyzes impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements

Leads the review and improvement of the existing disaster recovery plans in coordination with the organizational Business Continuity Plan

Leads the conduct and overseeing of the contingency plan integration and operation.

Designs or implements products and services to mitigate risk or facilitate the use of technology-based tools and methods

Systems and Network Management

Leads the team in planning, coordinating, and implementing network and system security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware

Ensures that computer systems and networks operate at their optimum performance, and evaluates computer system and network access and use

Leads the design and planning of the organization's system and network infrastructure

Recommends and justifies changes to the leadership team for the improvement of the systems and network configuration, and design

Supplier Relationship

Manages relationships with IT suppliers and service providers to ensure the organization’s objectives are prioritized and met

Spearheads the research of finding appropriate and cost-effective IT solutions, systems, and/or providers for the organization’s use

Leads the team in the procurement of hardware and software for use within the organization

Web Design

Leads in the conceptualization of designs in web applications and tools including for client, operations, and people analytics

Leads in creating and presenting web-related project proposals

Designs and builds websites with computer tools and programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, NodeJS, Python and/or PHP.

Communicates with the different teams under the Support Departments for planning web-related projects

Web Development

Serves as the lead developer on multiple web development projects, including the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of websites and web-based applications

Performs detailed code reviews to ensure quality assurance and adherence to coding best practices

Leads in developing new applications and making improvements to existing applications

Leads in developing and implementing strategies for optimizing website performance, including load times, caching, minification, and compression

Leads in building web applications through coding and scripting

Leads in developing the system and performing repository updates

Leads in developing databases for initialization and creation

Leads in performing and documenting sanitation and cleanups of codes

Leads in performing Quality Assurance Testing

Web Update and Maintenance

Troubleshoots technical issues and identify root causes in a timely and effective manner

Leads in evaluating codes to ensure it is properly structured and compatible with different devices

Leads in validating test routines and schedules to ensure that cases mimic external interfaces

Leads in performing stress and security testing to ensure the stability and robustness of the website

Special Projects and Initiatives

Leads in developing tools, applications, and websites as required by the HODs

Leads in documenting the entire development process of the projects

Reports findings, solutions, and other significant tasks to the clients, leaders, and/or management

Reports Generation

Leads in ensuring an accurate and on-time delivery of offered solutions to assigned clients based on their needs

Provides accurate and timely reports to client(s), employees, and leaders

Ensures accurate reporting of activities, opportunities, and/or challenges to the Head of Technology and leaders

Report issues to Systems and Network Admin for escalation

Additional Duties:

Serves as the team's primary resource for all matters relating to web development, IT helpdesk, and IT infrastructure, guiding and mentoring less experienced members of the team

Manage information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; and developing personal growth opportunities.

Maintain the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

Be updated in technological research by studying organization's goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.

Will complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data centers.

Works closely with project managers and/or department leaders to ensure that all project deliverables are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Accomplishes other tasks as may be assigned by the head of the department and/or clients and leaders of the company.

WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, and other related fields.

Has knowledge in any Google services and/or local Hosted system to Local hosted system integration

Has knowledge in handling Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems

Has knowledge in handling network devices such as Routers, Switches, and Wireless APs

Has knowledge in assembly and disassembly of laptops and desktops

Has knowledge in troubleshooting Microsoft Office applications

Has Advanced Programming skill set

Knowledgeable in Programming Languages (PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc.)

Complex problem-solving skills

Analytical thinking skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience working on large-scale web development projects Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

Experience with content management systems, eCommerce platforms, and web applications

Has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development, IT Helpdesk or Support, and/or relevant technical experience related work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
