THE POSITION
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing all aspects of their assigned territory to meet or exceed sales goals, partnering with customers to grow their business, and increasing market penetration. The role focuses on generating new business, recovering lost accounts, and ensuring a smooth transition of new clients to the Account Management team.

Assigned Territory: State of Ohio and Western PA
CORE FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed territory goals.
Drive new business growth through a proven sales process.
Conduct ongoing market analysis, including competitor offerings and market penetration.
Identify barriers to growth within the territory and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain a strong in-person presence in the market, including visits to prospects, competitors, and job sites.
Train customers in product specifications, marketing materials, online tools, sales techniques, and product installation prior to handoff to the Account Management Team.
Gather market intelligence to support pricing and strategic decisions.
Initiate customer relationships and facilitate a seamless transition to the assigned Account Manager while maintaining appropriate ongoing engagement.

Proactively identifies and secures new business opportunities to meet or exceed monthly and annual territory sales goals.
Maintains consistent productivity and responsiveness in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting effectively to shifting priorities and client demands.
Effectively prioritizes pipeline opportunities and allocates time to maximize sales potential while ensuring timely follow-up on leads and proposals.
Communicates clearly and persuasively in written proposals and verbal presentations, ensuring accurate and professional representation of company offerings.
Identifies market or account challenges, develops corrective actions, and implements solutions that improve customer satisfaction and territory performance.
Collaborates effectively with Account Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth customer transitions, shared goals, and accountability for results.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience in new business development and customer acquisition
Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
Experience in the metal building industry (preferred)
No active non-compete agreement
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base: $75,000
Profit Sharing: 10% annually
PTO: 3 weeks

TRAVEL
