We are currently seeking a General Medicine Physician for an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Three Rivers, California. This position offers flexibility with options for half-day or full-day shifts, perfect for those looking for PRN work. You'll be performing non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams, along with Separation Health Assessments for Veterans.

Job Duties:

Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans

Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessments, including:

Range of motion testing

Muscle strength testing

METs testing

No treatment or prescription involved

Training will be provided for Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)

Documentation to be completed and submitted within 48 hours of the exam

Requirements:

Active and unrestricted full medical license

Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions

Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions

Own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products)

Willingness to complete required Disability Medical Assessment (DMA) training

AANP certification is preferred

Previous experience in completing Veterans assessments is a plus
