BASIC FUNCTION:
Coordinates and administers key human resources programs, including safety, FMLA, onboarding, and wellness to enhance the associate experience and support organizational goals. Serves as the main backup and support for payroll functions, recruiting, and processing associate changes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll
Review all payroll entries for accuracy on a biweekly basis and act as primary backup for payroll, inputting entries as needed
Manage associate timecards and assist supervisors with processing them
FMLA & Unpaid Medical Leave:
Answer associates’ questions regarding FMLA and other leaves of absence
Coordinate, process & track all medical leave
Ensure that the appropriate documents are sent and received
Work with health care professionals when necessary to clarify/determine LOA
Coordinate paid and unpaid leave during time out and track in timekeeping system
Wellness
Coordinate wellness events to drive associate engagement, such as blood drives, health fairs, etc.
Manage all communications on behalf of the wellness program
Serve as the main point of contact for the wellness platform vendor
Onboarding
Complete reference checks
Act as liaison for new hires after offer is accepted
Coordinate with managers and schedule trainings
Conduct new hire orientation
Follow-up with new hires and managers at regular intervals during their introductory period
Safety
Manage the safety program through implementing annual policy updates, coordinating training and communicating policies and procedures to ensure associates’ safety
Monitor OSHA compliance and address safety concerns as they arise
Coordinate with Residential Maintenance, Commercial Maintenance, and Residential Construction to ensure annual training is completed and policies are updated accordingly
Track and submit all OSHA reporting, such as OSHA 300 & 300A logs annually
Ensure Safety Coordinators are trained in first aid and CPR, and maintain active certification while serving in this capacity
Oversee the MVR procedures, including the annual review with our insurance company and completing quarterly checks to ensure compliance is maintained
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support/backup to the HR team and assist with special projects
Participate in organizational efforts such as the Culture Club and Community Impact Committee
Oversee preparation of materials for employment and wellness award nominations
Assist with processing terminations and conducting exit interviews
SKILLS
1. 2+ years in related HR or administrative support role
2. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
