Scheduler - Manufacturing
Location: Columbus, OH
We are seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in driving production efficiency, inventory optimization, and on-time customer delivery. This role partners cross-functionally with Sales, Materials, Supply Chain, and Operations to develop accurate production schedules and forecasts that support business objectives. We are looking to hire a local candidate for our Columbus, OH facility
What You’ll Do -
Production Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule to maximize labor and equipment utilization while meeting customer delivery commitments.
Translate customer orders and EDI data into executable production schedules based on cycle times, efficiencies, labor, and inventory levels.
Forecasting & Capacity Planning
Lead 12–18 month rolling forecasts for raw materials using customer EDI, sales forecasts, and statistical analysis.
Validate forecast accuracy and align assumptions with Sales and Operations.
Materials & Supply Chain Coordination
Partner with the Materials team on MRP and supply/demand planning to ensure timely material availability and prevent production disruptions.
Coordinate supplier releases to support production schedules and customer demand.
Inventory Management
Drive inventory optimization and reduction initiatives while accounting for engineering changes, bank builds, and product transfers.
Analyze inventory and production reports to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
Sourcing Support
Support sourcing activities for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
Assist in determining appropriate procurement methods, including direct sourcing or competitive bids.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, materials management, or supply chain roles.
1–2+ years of hands-on experience with manufacturing scheduling.
Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
