Overview:

The Transportation Analyst will play a key role in optimizing and supporting the movement of refrigerated food products throughout the supply chain. Based in Groveport, Ohio, this position requires strong communication skills, as a significant portion of time will be spent interacting with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders via phone and email. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar transportation management systems.

Job Description:

I.Essential Functions

Transportation Coordination: Schedule, track, and monitor refrigerated shipments to ensure timely and safe delivery of products.

OTM System Management: Utilize Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) to plan, execute, and report on transportation activities.

Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers, vendors, and internal teams, resolving issues and providing updates via phone and email.

Data Analysis: Analyze shipment data and transportation metrics to identify trends, optimize routing, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipments comply with food safety regulations and company policies; maintain accurate records and documentation.

Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve transportation delays, exceptions, and claims, proactively communicating with all parties involved.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, reduce costs, and support business growth.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain-refrigerated or perishable goods experience a plus.

Hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar TMS required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable spending considerable time on the phone and email.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Language Skills

Fluent English, Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus

Office-based in Groveport, Ohio.

Frequent communication via phone and email.

Occasional overtime may be required to meet business needs.

On-Call Requirement: Participation in an on-call rotation is required every six weeks, covering weekend support to address transportation issues as they arise.
