Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, setup, and maintenance of packaging equipment in a structured cGMP environment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to support production efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain packaging machinery
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment issues
Perform electrical wiring and diagnostics as needed
Assist with vision systems operation and troubleshooting
Support PLC troubleshooting (as applicable)
Conduct routine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks
Ensure compliance with cGMP standards and safety regulations
Accurately read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and instructions
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
Maintenance experience required; pharmaceutical or food industry experience preferred
Strong setup skills for packaging machines (required)
Electrical wiring knowledge with troubleshooting ability
Experience with vision systems preferred
PLC troubleshooting experience a plus
Mechanical aptitude or relevant technical coursework
Strong math and reading comprehension skills
Ability to work effectively in a structured, regulated (cGMP) environment
Strong work ethic and reliability
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
High school diploma or GED required
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay: Starting at $22–$23 per hour, based on experience and skill set
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:25 PM – 12:55 AM
Training & Development:
Training will be conducted on 1st shift
After successful completion of training, flexible shift assignment (1st or 2nd shift) will be available
Highly trainable recent graduates (e.g., technical schools such as Blackhawk Technical College) are encouraged to apply
