Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Handler for our client. This role is responsible for stocking materials per defined location procedures, locating inventory using inventory control systems, pulling stock and sample kits, assembling shipments on pallets, performing cycle counts, creating labels and documentation, operating material handling equipment, training new personnel, managing daily workload, and interacting with internal and external customers.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

Put up stock per defined location procedures

Use query of the inventory control system for location of materials

Pull stock and/or sample kits

Assemble material on pallets for customer shipment

Perform cycle counts to verify record accuracy

Create labels and documentation to track material movement

Train less experienced personnel and new hires

Operate pallet jack, forklift, company truck,and other material handling equipment

Manage daily workload

Interact with both internal and external customers

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

18 years old

Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

Basic reading, writing, and math skills

Valid driver’s license

Assure compliance of company operations to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, good business practices and company documented procedure

Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement

Be self-motivated

Have strong communication skills

Ability to move and/or lift up to 25 lbs.

Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel,crouch, crawl,and/or stoop on a repetitive basis

Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to include graspingand holding

Pass a background check and drug test
