This travel temporary assignment takes place in an acute care hospital setting and involves delivering PT services to a broad mix of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, and critical care caseloads.

Responsibilities

- Deliver quality physical therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans for patients in an acute care setting.

- Document patient progress and maintain timely, accurate entries in the EMR; monitor and adjust plans of care as needed.

- Assist with patient evaluations, treatment planning, and family education to support understanding and engagement.

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote safe discharge planning and continuity of care across the lifespan.

- Provide one-on-one patient care, adapting interventions to individual needs while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

- Uphold patient safety, privacy, and facility policies; communicate effectively with patients, families, and teammates.

Requirements

- Degree from an accredited CAPTE-approved program

- Current Maryland physical therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Maryland

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

- At least 1 year of hospital acute-care experience; new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations may be considered

- Experience documenting in an EMR system

- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with strong flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication skills
