Technical Team Lead Java

Introduction As a Principal Developer and Tech Lead, you will be a key leader within our dynamic team, driving native cloud development practices and setting the technical direction for our projects.

You will leverage your technical expertise to guide the local team and ensure their successful delivery of backlog.

What you'll do: * Leading the team, helping, supporting them to deliver their duties.

* Ensure there are trained and have a good understanding of their development backlog to deliver.

* Serve as the technical authority functional and technical areas.

* Ensure high-quality, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code for both backend and frontend components using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and UI5 are written in a proper way.

* Design, develop, and manage robust, high-throughput infrastructure services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka, considering aspects such as performance, scalability, and security.

* Engage in DevOps practices, contributing to our CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

* Continuously monitor and address customer and internal issues related to the Library Application using Service Now (SNOW), investigating and delegating as necessary within the team.

* Monitor and support team to monitor Pipeline, Build Pipelines, Slack delivery channel, E2E tests, performance, and resilience test results, and security alerts, triggering the team as necessary.

* Review the coding of team members, providing expert guidance and mentoring to foster continuous improvement.

* Support and collaborate with other developers within CALM PMC Area.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.

Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities As an Application Architect specializing in Java & Web Technologies, you will visualize the entire application as a cohesive system, understanding all interactions between system components, and define limitations and requirements for source code in Java and related frameworks.

You will leverage your expertise to select, define, and enforce consistent technology standards, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Required education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise * An academic professional qualification with at least 10+ years of industry, functional, or IT skills.

* Proven track record in leading new development projects and architecting various development solutions.

* At least 6+ years of hands-on experience designing and coding enterprise applications in a product development environment.

* Experience in applying agile scrum methodologies.

* Expert knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, OData, and SQL.

* Strong understanding of messaging systems, particularly Apache Kafka.

* Deep understanding of microservices architecture, SaaS * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for tackling complex scalability issues.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* High commitment to quality, reliability, and a self-motivated working style.

* Flexibility and ability to learn new subjects and share knowledge with the team.

* Language skills: English (proficient). * Strong technical skills in software development and deployment pipelines.

* Proficiency in using GitHub, Dynatrace, Grafana, and other related tools.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Experience with cloud platforms, especially CloudFoundry.

Preferred technical and professional experience * Deep understanding of microservices architecture, SaaS, multi-tenancy, and full stack development, including SAP CAP, SAPUI5, and SAP Fiori Elements.
