Stepdown RN - Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Provide specialized nursing care in a stepdown unit setting, delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts. This contract opportunity requires skilled RNs experienced in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or stepdown nursing, supporting patient recovery with diligent monitoring and clinical expertise.

Location: Emerald Isle, NC

Responsibilities:

Deliver patient care in the PCU/Stepdown unit during 7p-7a shifts

Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care

Adhere to facility policies and protocols within the scope of practice

Participate in floating as needed within the unit scope

Qualifications:

Active RN license with at least 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred

Ability to work a consistent night schedule, including every 3rd weekend

Flexible to discuss block scheduling during the interview

Shift:

Night shift, 3x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

This assignment is a 13-week contract starting ASAP. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred; first-time travelers are not accepted.
