Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Textile Carding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing raw fibers (cotton, wool, or synthetic) for spinning by operating and maintaining high-speed carding machinery. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and adjust carding machines to meet production specifications

Feed raw materials into machines and ensure consistent fiber flow

Monitor production to detect jams, irregularities, or defects

Repair broken sliver ends and troubleshoot minor machine issues

Replace and manage supply packages and sliver cans

Inspect finished sliver for weight, uniformity, and quality standards

Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance on equipment

Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE

Record production data and report equipment malfunctions to supervisorsQualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous manufacturing or textile experience is a plus (not always required)

Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn industrial equipment

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed
