In your role as an Equipment and Construction Management Consultant, you will focus on client-facing projects aimed at optimizing equipment and construction costs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with both clients and suppliers to lead strategic initiatives, project management, consultancy, and data analysis—all crucial for strategic decision-making. Furthermore, you will deepen Accenture's expertise in equipment and construction and aid in expanding our capabilities in this sector.

The work:

Project Execution

Create and implement robust sourcing strategies and cost-reduction recommendations for equipment, capital expenditures, and construction services.

Provide expert insights and benchmarking across essential equipment and construction spend.

Transform diverse data sources into actionable insights and deliverables.

Collaborate with clients to define and understand essential project requirements related to CapEx purchases and contractor scope.

Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, including procurement executives and project managers.

Assist in the development of project plans to ensure efficient delivery of sourcing initiatives and capital procurement projects.

Coordinate with experts to address considerations related to cost, quality, schedule, and risk.

Engage with contractors and consultants to align priorities and meet objectives.

Contribute valuable insights to the strategic direction of the Equipment and Construction Center of Excellence.

Maintain integrity and excellence in all decisions and relationships.

Commit to dependable project execution.

Travel may be required as needed.

Business Development

Support sales discussions with your expertise in equipment and construction categories.

Create tailored sales-support materials focused on CapEx and construction spend optimization.

Position Accenture as a trusted partner in equipment and construction procurement through thought leadership.

Analyze client spending summaries to identify areas for cost optimization.

Collaborate with teams to identify savings opportunities through contractor negotiations and market benchmarking.

Practice Development

Develop and curate knowledge assets such as case studies and whitepapers focused on best practices in equipment and construction sourcing.

Implement strategies to aggregate data for benchmarking and analytical insights.

Help manage the intellectual capital of the Equipment and Construction Center of Excellence.

Demonstrate a proactive mindset in learning and advancing equipment and construction sourcing initiatives.

Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in creating complex analytical models.

Travel Requirements

Some travel will be necessary for this role, ranging from 10-50%.

Here's what you need:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in executing Strategic Sourcing projects and cost optimization strategies.

A minimum of 1 year in procurement and sourcing, particularly in equipment and construction negotiations.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) including complex analytical models.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years). If you have an associate degree, you must have at least 6 years of work experience.

You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and can present to senior executives.

You have sharp analytical skills.

You have an MBA or equivalent graduate degree.

You have experience as an Equipment or Construction Sourcing Manager with consulting experience.

You possess a background in procurement management from industries with significant capital investments.

You are a subject matter expert in construction services and procurement.

You come from industries such as High Tech, Data Center, Life Sciences, Utilities, or Industrials.
