Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a strong CNC Programmer who will set-up, operate, and program their new Brother CNC Mill Machine. Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Friday as needed.
Job Duties:
Program, set-up, and operate computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision metal
Write and test programs, make adjustments as needed, ensure the machine operates correctly, and parts are cut to perfection
Translate prints and specifications into computer-readable instructions for the machine
Set up the machine with correct tooling, materials, and parameters
Operate the machine, monitor machine during operation, and ensure it adheres to the programmed instructions
Ensure the finished parts meet quality standards, inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications, and report any discrepancies
Aid in making machine fixtures
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Must have 1 to 3 years of CNC programming and operation experience
Must have a mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with tools, and have a good understanding of how the machine works
Must have the ability to read and interpret detailed prints to understand the required specifications and dimensions of the parts
Must be able to hand, load, and unload raw materials from the machines
Must have a strong understanding of machine tools, programming languages, and the principles of machining
Must have strong critical thinking skills in order to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical and programming issues that arise during operation
Must be computer literate and able to programs and control machines
