As a Special School District (SSD) Social Worker, you will support students by identifying and addressing social, emotional, and environmental factors that impact their ability to learn and succeed. Through direct counseling, case management, and collaboration with families and school teams, you will help ensure students have access to the resources and support they need to feel stable and ready to engage in their education. You will serve as a key member of the educational and therapeutic team, contributing to the IEP process, providing consultation, and connecting students and families to community resources. From supporting crisis response and trauma-informed practices to helping families navigate services and understand their child’s needs, your work strengthens partnerships among home, school, and community while creating a supportive environment where students can grow academically and emotionally.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in social work required
Experience in child mental health and individual/group counseling with children preferred
Experience in providing services to children with disabilities preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required
Must secure active clinical supervision by start date
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
Must earn within 48 months of clinical supervision initiation date

Salary
$55,635 - $83,250/year based on education and experience
