Bellefontaine, OH OR
Dublin, OH
Position Overview
The Electrical Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for various industrial applications. The role involves PLC programming, electrical design, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have design & PLC programming experience, but we are open to training as well depending on experience and education.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery and processes
Program and configure PLCs to meet project specifications
Create and review electrical design documentation including schematics and layouts
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards in all designs
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate HMI systems and optimize control processes
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and controls
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of control systems
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies related to electrical controls engineering
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience in electrical controls engineering and design
Strong knowledge of PLC programming and electrical codes
Familiarity with HMI design and integration
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
