Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst to support Enterprise Data Warehouse initiatives within a banking environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage product backlogs, and deliver data-driven solutions that enable the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams

Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, including source-to-target data mappings

Develop and manage product backlog, including features, epics, and user stories

Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and ensure user stories are ready for prioritization

Collaborate with Agile teams to support development and delivery of data solutions

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues

Work with cross-functional teams to resolve impediments and ensure timely delivery

Support data analysis activities using SQL and data warehouse tools

Ensure adherence to data warehousing best practices and standards Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a Data Warehouse environment

3+ years of experience using SQL for data analysis and query development

Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration

Experience working in Agile environments with backlog management and user story creation

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry

Experience with Snowflake, AWS S3, and enterprise data warehouse technologies

Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin or similar

Experience with data mapping and source-to-target mapping processes

Experience leading or mentoring other Business Systems Analysts

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
