New Albany Country Club is seeking a Culinary Receiver / Purchasing Assistant to support our culinary team. This is a full-time, year-round position with consistent daytime hours in a professional, high-end private club environment.

The Culinary Receiver plays a critical role in supporting the kitchen by receiving, inspecting, organizing, and distributing all food and supply deliveries. This position ensures that all products meet quality standards and are properly stored for culinary operations.
This role also assists with inventory management, ordering, and quality control for all culinary areas of the Club.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and inspect all food and beverage deliveries
Verify the quality, freshness, and accuracy of all incoming products
Label, date, and properly store products according to food safety standards
Monitor product quality and report shortages immediately
Check and log temperatures for all food deliveries
Fill kitchen requisitions with accuracy and efficiency
Maintain organized storage areas, coolers, and freezers
Assist chefs with inventory management and product utilization
Assist with monthly food inventory counts
Support purchasing and supply ordering when needed
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving and storage areas
Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff daily Qualifications
Culinary, kitchen, or food service experience preferred
Previous receiving, inventory, or purchasing experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Self-starter with strong work ethic Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout shift
Ability to work in hot and cold environments (coolers/freezers)
