FORKLIFT OPERATOR DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

Location: Covington GA 30014 â 100% on-site

Madison, GA as needed

Payrate: $19.50/hr

Required Availability: Friday-Sunday 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM

FORKLIFT OPERATOR SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Forklift Operator will focus on inbound logistics and sterilization preparation. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying inventory accuracy, and operating forklifts to manage pallet placement. This is a fast-paced role that requires high attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

FORKLIFT OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inbound Logistics: Unload inbound trucks, verify catalog/lot numbers and quantities, and stack boxes onto specific pallet patterns.

Equipment Operation: Drive forklifts to locate and retrieve pallets from racks; operate manual or automatic hand trucks.

Sterilization Prep: Assemble and build sterilization loads according to diagrams; place biological indicators (spores) into loads and initiate documentation.

Inventory Control: Complete transactions using IBM Data Collection scanners and operate inventory control systems (JD Edwards).

Safety & Quality: Exercise safe lifting techniques and maintain a clean work area in compliance with Quality System Regulations (QSR).

FORKLIFT OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)

Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.

2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment required, specifically stand-up forklifts highly preferred.

Certification: Must be certified to operate a forklift and pass a Lift Drivers Test.

Ability to perform basic math calculations and utilize handheld scanners.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift. Must be comfortable working in environments that may be hot or humid.

Must be able to work between the Covington and Madison plants as needed.
