The Engineering Storekeeper is expected to manage and control the engineering store by ensuring proper inventory levels, accurate record-keeping, and timely availability of materials, tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies required for resort operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming engineering materials and supplies
Maintain accurate inventory records (manual and/or system-based)
Manage daily issuance and return of tools and equipment to engineering staff
Ensure proper tracking, accountability, and condition of issued tools
Issue materials to engineering staff as per approved requisitions
Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering to avoid shortages
Ensure proper storage and labeling of all items
Conduct regular stock counts and audits
Perform monthly inventory of technicians’ tools and ensure accountability for assigned equipment
Track usage of spare parts, tools, and consumables
Handle, store, and control chemicals, paints, and hazardous materials in accordance with safety standards and regulations
Ensure proper labeling, storage conditions, and safe usage of all chemicals and paints
Coordinate with procurement for ordering and supplier follow-ups
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
Ensure compliance with safety and company policies
High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma in Stores/Logistics is a plus)
Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in hospitality or maintenance
Basic knowledge of engineering materials, tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies
Familiarity with inventory management systems
Knowledge of safe handling practices for chemicals and paints is an advantage
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software)
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma in Stores/Logistics is a plus)
Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in hospitality or maintenance
Basic knowledge of engineering materials, tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies
Familiarity with inventory management systems
