MBA Intern Position
This MBA intern position will support a strategic planning initiative within Vertiv Americas Services, a rapidly growing organization delivering mission-critical services across North America. This role will focus on improving visibility, forecasting, and decision-making across service backlog, pipeline, resource planning, and financial performance. The intern will conduct analytical work, develop scalable planning tools, and translate findings into executive-ready insights that enable sustainable growth and operational efficiency. The goal of this position is for the candidate to become the subject matter expert in operational planning, gaining knowledge and skills that are the foundation for future opportunities in operations leadership/management in Vertiv Services.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct a diagnostic assessment of current service backlog and pipeline review processes, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for standardization.
Analyze service demand, backlog, and pipeline data to understand implications for technician capacity planning, execution risk, and financial performance.
Develop a Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP)style resource planning framework to support forecasting and allocation of service engineers, customer project managers, and technical support staff.
Build and document analytical models (Excel / Power BI) that can be handed off for ongoing business use and regularly updated by the organization.
Create a financial performance dashboard to highlight variances between planned and actual costs, including fixed and variable cost drivers.
Support tracking of operational countermeasures and link actions to financial and operational outcomes.
Map current-state planning and performance management processes and identify process improvement opportunities aligned with Vertiv's growth strategy.
Synthesize quantitative analysis and stakeholder input into clear, executive-ready presentations with insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Services Operations, Finance, and Leadership to validate assumptions and recommendations.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management
Currently pursuing a Masters degree from an accredited institution.
