This is a remote position, but VISTA members must reside in one of the following metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Austin, Charleston, Charlotte, Columbus, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, or Phoenix.

At Entryway, we open doors for individuals and families facing situational homelessness to return to economic independence through career training, employment, and housing partnerships.
As our Program and Retention VISTA, you’ll design tools and support models that improve participant retention, identify barriers, pilot solutions, and strengthen communication to help individuals maintain employment and housing stability.

Our team works remotely, with weekly all-staff videoconferences that keep us connected, collaborative, and innovative.
What You’ll Do
In this one-year service term, you will assess participant needs, design and pilot support tools, and implement innovative retention strategies like check-ins, mentorship, peer support groups, and resource guides. You’ll collaborate with staff, partners, and participants to improve program engagement, completion, and long-term success.
This role combines research, program design, and hands-on support, giving you the opportunity to directly impact lives while building your skills in workforce development, project management, and nonprofit program operations. Member Activities:
Assess participant needs and identify barriers to job retention and housing stability
Develop practical support tools, guides, and resource kits
Pilot retention programs, including check-ins, mentorship, peer support, and coaching
Gather feedback and refine strategies to improve program completion and engagement
Strengthen communication and collaboration between staff, partners, and participants
