Internal auditor Service

We are looking for an Internal Audit specialist to temporarily reinforce the internal audit team.

As an Internal Auditor, you will have a versatile and influential role with following responsibilities

Review the company’s operational, IT and financial processes to ensure they are satisfactory in terms of internal control, effectiveness and efficiency.

Execute the audit plan: Prepare, plan and execute audit assignments, validate findings and establish recommendations.

When executing audit assignments, apply the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the client Group Internal Audit Charter and Methodology

Check that processes comply with the governance principles applicable within the company and with external laws and regulations.

Translate audit observations into clear, effective reports and language tailored for senior and executive management audiences. Present the audit results at the various levels concerned.

Periodically monitor the execution of action plans agreed with the audited departments.

Leverage the GRC software to gather and exchange information efficiently with action owners and other control functions, including Internal Audit and Risk & Compliance teams in both Belgium and Germany.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in internal audit in multinational environments and/ or Big4 companies giving you a solid understanding of planning and executing internal audits.

The ability to draw conclusions and make effective recommendations out of all information gathered.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

The ability to work independently as well as in (cross-functional) teams.

A pragmatic and hands-on approach.

Knowledge of the electricity sector is a plus as well as a CIA certification.

Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required.

Additional information:

Location: Empereur, depending on the audits some meetings could take place in the Monnoyer building

Onsite presence: By default, a physical presence on site is required for 2 days per week.
