Trailer Technician

Job Description

The Trailer Technician will specialize in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of bulk hauling tractor trailers. Working under the supervision of the Lead Technician, this role ensures all trailers meet safety and operational standards, with a focus on hydraulic systems and safety compliance. The position involves local work, supporting the efficiency and reliability of our trailers through diagnostic testing and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

Inspect bulk hauling tractor trailers for wear and damage

Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs

Maintain and repair hydraulic systems

Conduct diagnostic testing to identify issues

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Collaborate with the Lead Technician and team members

Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in trailer maintenance

Technical certification in automotive or trailer repair

Valid driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred

Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and brake systems

Experience with welding and mechanical repair

Proficiency with diagnostic tools

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Understanding of safety procedures
