Press Brake Operator

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a press brake machine to bend and form metal parts according to specifications. This role includes loading and unloading materials, changing tooling, and ensuring machines are operating safely and efficiently.

The operator will inspect parts during production to ensure they meet quality and engineering specifications, perform minor machine adjustments or repairs when necessary, and maintain equipment and tooling. This position focuses on maintaining productivity while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

· Set up and operate press brake machinery

· Load and unload materials and finished parts

· Change tooling as required for production runs

· Inspect parts during production to ensure quality standards are met

· Perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting

· Read and follow blueprints and engineering specifications

· Maintain safe machine operation and follow safety guidelines

· Ensure production schedules and quality expectations are met

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous brake press or punch press experience preferred

· Ability to read blueprints

· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)

· Ability to operate measuring and inspection tools

· Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards

· Must be willing to complete a drug screen and background check
