Quality Engineer Manufacturing

Job Description

Job Summary: Our Quality Engineer is the first point of contact for our customers and suppliers. This is a high visibility position that requires extensive change management with responsibilities for the quality and consistency of the company's products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Champion new product launches as required, including PFMEA, capability studies, control plans, design review, gauging, PPAP, Tool Management.

Review Engineering Change Notices, track the status of QA activities and support implementation of engineering changes.

Drive internal and external corrective and preventative action.

Develop engineering change request in response to production issues.

Develop and maintain Access Database to collect data for KPI's.

Follows and enforces procedures of ISO/IATF 16949 environment

Supports customer, supplier, partner visits.

Develops projects around Continuous Improvement efforts.

Identifies and communicates training requirements.

Champion for Safety, initiatives with intent to eliminate recordable and/ or lost time injuries.

Flexible – ability to adapt to frequent priority changes & substantial role diversity

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic knowledge of common manufacturing processes and logistics systems.

Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

Ability to create an environment of positive team work, unity and cooperation

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to work independently with little direction and meet quality and quantity goals.

Multi-task oriented; highly motivated; self-starter

Credentials and Experience

Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Industrial/Technology

Significant knowledge of manufacturing processes procedures related to automotive industry.Company Description
