Job Title: Field Project EngineerOverview

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex construction projects across highway, railroad, marine, and energy infrastructure sectors. This role works closely with the Project Management team and operates under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Management team to ensure timely and successful project completion

Maintain effective communication with project owners and inspection teams to keep all stakeholders informed

Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications

Collaborate with the Engineering team to plan and design temporary structures

Prepare detailed construction work plans, including drawings for field crews

Develop and maintain project schedules, typically using CPM methodology

Track project quantities and coordinate with owners to ensure accurate compensation

Coordinate material procurement to maintain project timelines

Monitor materials delivered to site for quality and quantity compliance

Assist in planning and sequencing construction activities

Interpret project plans and technical specifications

Provide layout control, including lines and elevations, for accurate installation of materials

Maintain as-built documentation, including use of surveying techniques as needed

Coordinate with surveyors to meet construction requirements

Promote and enforce safe work practices among project teams and crews

Participate in safety and environmental initiatives to ensure regulatory complianceRequirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field

Knowledge of aggregate/asphalt materials, heavy construction, and project management principles

Experience or familiarity with software such as Primavera P6, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar tools

Willingness to travel to various project sites as requiredCompany Description
