Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to project specifications.
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
Input program instructions, including speed, feed, and cutting paths, into CNC machines.
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or deviations
Conduct regular inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand machining requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to address machining concerns and optimize processes.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Any other action deemed reasonable or significant by management.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
Familiarity with measuring and inspection tools.
Attention to detail and precision in machining operations.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address issues during machine operation.
Commitment to routine machine maintenance and cleanliness.
Adherence to safety practices and guidelines.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new machining technologies and techniques.
Physical stamina and dexerity to work on feet for long periods of time and to work with heavy materials.
