Position Overview
Our non-profit, mission-driven palliative care program is seeking a friendly, organized Part-Time Front Office Coordinator to support daily clinic operations and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients, families, and referring providers. This role plays an important part in helping patients access compassionate palliative care services while supporting the work of a community-focused healthcare organization dedicated to improving quality of life for those facing serious illness.
Key Responsibilities
· Process and manage incoming patient referrals
· Obtain and track insurance prior authorizations
· Answer and triage incoming phone calls from patients, families, and referring providers
· Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments
· Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record
· Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth clinic operations
Qualifications
· Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role preferred
· Experience with insurance authorizations and referral management helpful
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Comfortable working with electronic medical records and standard office software
· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Benefits
