Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist

License: Active Certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS

Active American Heart Association ACLS

Must-Have:

Cath Lab Tech experience required

Skills Checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Cath Lab) required

2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years required

Description:

This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures.

Processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images.

Assists in preparing patients for procedures.

Assists other members of the cath lab and Interventional Radiology staff and physicians as needed.

Ensures timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab and special procedures.

Responsible for prepping patients, sterile tray setup, post-cath care, and procedures.

Handles room cleanup.

Manipulates equipment and sets appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality.

Operates a variety of electronic equipment including cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, and hemodynamic equipment.

Performs oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements.
