Press Brake Operator

Press Brake Operator Job Responsibilities Include

Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend, form, or punch metals.

Interpret blueprints, production orders, and specs to meet dimensions and tolerances.

Plan and layout bending sequence, referring to drawings and blueprints.

Bend products or assemblies of small, light average weight, to large heavy weight.

Setup up metal dies in performing operations in forming.

Align, fit and/or rework pieces that fail inspection.

Select and install correct tooling, make machine adjustments to accommodate different materials and thickness.

Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, or other tools to ensure accuracy.

Perform maintenance on the press brake and report issues or malfunctions.

Press Brake Operator Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED.

Prior experience operating a press brake or similar metal-forming machine.

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.

Ability to work in a standing position for up to 6 hours.

Lift up to 70 pounds with or without assistance, bend, twist and reach.

Ability to grip, twist wrist and tighten hands.
