Derivative Operations Analyst

A leading financial services organization is looking to add a Derivative Operations Analyst to a high-impact team supporting complex investment and hedging strategies. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on exposure to derivative products while partnering with trading, portfolio management, and accounting teams across the business.
This role offers a mix of day-to-day trade support and strategic project work, giving you the chance to both execute and improve how derivative operations are run.
What You'll Be Doing
Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Legal, Treasury, and Accounting teams to support the full lifecycle of derivative trades
Coordinate with global banking partners to manage settlements, collateral movements, and margin requirements
Ensure accurate and timely flow of trade data across internal systems and downstream reporting platforms
Review trade bookings and legal documentation to confirm accuracy and proper processing
Monitor and resolve issues with external service providers and internal stakeholders
Support collateral management processes and cash movements tied to derivative activity
Maintain and interpret trading agreements including ISDAs, CSAs, and related documentation
Contribute to process improvements and operational enhancements across the team
Assist with FX, swaps, and options activity including trade affirmations and settlements through third-party platforms
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Exposure to investment or financial operations, ideally within derivatives
Understanding of post-trade processes such as settlements, confirmations, and reconciliations is a plus
Experience with tools like MarkitWire, triResolve, Acadia, GTSS, or similar platforms is helpful
Strong Excel skills are required, experience with VBA or SQL is a bonus
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
