What you'll do
Generate and maintain CNC programs utilizing Siemens NX-CAM 2412. This role will support large vertical and horizontal broach processes
Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for a Hoffmann RASMX 8-axis broaching machine using SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE controls
Maintain and update programs for existing horizontal legacy broaches, primarily utilizing FANUC controls and complex Macro variables
Utilize NX Drafting and AutoCAD to create 2D broaching profiles, ensuring high-accuracy cuts for turbine and compressor disc blade attachment slots
Provide expert guidance on manual measurement processes and utilize on-machine probing (HEIDENHAIN TS 642) for axial, radial, and profile reference point (P-point) compensation
Monitor tool performance using systems like ToolScope to optimize torque limits and improve tool life through data-driven adjustments
Create programs following standards and qualified machining parameters
Incorporate on-machine probing for part and process validation (including error trapping)
Make cutting tool selection decisions
Develop new or modify existing processes to insure safety and process security
Work closely with machinists in the shop to prove out programs
Provide CNC related support to M.E. (Manufacturing Engineer) and provide operator training as warranted
Provide daily operator support and problem solving to the shop
Provide recommendations for workholding requirements as needed
Generate and support workstation instructions (methods) for CNC related issues.
Initiate and lead process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.
Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.

What will make you stand out
Siemens NX CAM experience (1953 or later)
Extraordinary attention to detail
Experience in the broaching of turbine or compressor discs for the power generation or aerospace industries
Deep understanding of CNC programs and subprograms, including a mastery of machine and part coordinate systems.
Clear understanding of CNC Macro programming and the ability to work with complex variables
Demonstrated experience with FANUC controls and familiarity with SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE (or similar high-axis Siemens controls)
Experience programming synchronized "Gantry" axes and multi-axis tilting tables (Cradle/B-axis and Cone Angle/A-axis)
Familiar with CNC communications for sending and receiving programs via DNC, Ethernet, or RS232 interfaces
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience utilizing ToolScope or similar process monitoring software to analyze motor torque and optimize machining parameters
Experience machining high-temperature superalloys (Inconel, Rene) common in Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) or Aerospace sectors
Significant "hands-on" background as a machinist, with the ability to personally setup and prove out complex first-piece programs.
A track record of managing tight tolerances on large-format equipment
Bachelor degree in Engineering or Machine Tool Technology.
