CNC Machine Operator - 2nd shift

Job Description

We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator - 2nd shift to join our team!

Location: Wallingford, CT

Pay rate: $20-23/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm

Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings

Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)

Load tooling, fixtures, and materials

Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as required

Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

Maintain clean, organized work stations and adhere to safety procedures

Record production data and quality checks

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Prior experience as a CNC Machine Operator or machinist preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications

Familiarity with G code, M code, and CNC programming basics is a plus

Strong math skills and attention to detail

Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators)

Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
