Data /Cyber Analyst

Data /Cyber Analyst needs 9+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, cyber analytics, or related field

Data /Cyber Analyst requires:

• Current U.S. Government Security Clearance is not required at start.

• Must be able to get clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or additional experience in lieu of degree)

• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic, etc.)

• Experience writing complex queries and analytics (SPL, SQL, Kibana, Sigma rules)

• Experience with cyber data analysis, including monitoring and reporting

• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and preparation (ETL)

• Experience with BDP and/or JCC2 applications

• Familiarity with log formats (JSON, XML, etc.)

• Strong understanding of the OSI model and network protocols

• Experience working with operating systems, network devices, and cybersecurity tools

• Understanding of data profiling, cleansing, and normalization techniques

• Familiarity with data schemas, models, and ontology concepts

• Experience with Jupyter notebooks or AI/ML frameworks

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• SIEM/Analytics: Splunk, Elastic, Kibana, Sigma

• Languages/Querying: SQL, SPL

• Data: JSON, XML, log data, cyber telemetry

• Concepts: Data profiling, normalization, schema design, correlation
